Prentice Chow...

is the successor to the Law Practices of Thomas & Chow and Prentice Law Office in Drayton Valley. We have combined our offices and expanded with two branch offices for the purpose of providing a wider range of legal services to our clients in Drayton Valley, Evansburg, Entwistle, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, and Edmonton.

By combining our experience, resources, and knowledge, we can provide a more efficient and extensive scope of legal services to all our clients.

We are strong supporters of our respective local community organizations and serve the surrounding trade areas in many capacities.

We are backed by professional support staff with a broad range of occupational skills and experience. Providing personalized, prompt and caring service is our goal.

 

MARTIN PRENTICE

Marty obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1969 and his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1973 both from the University of Alberta. He articled in Edmonton and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta Bar in 1974.

After practicing law in Wetaskiwin, Alberta for two years, he moved to Drayton Valley in 1976 where he started a practice with David Thomas. Marty has operated his law office continually since that time.

He is actively involved in the community with many volunteer organizations, Boards and other activities which presently include:

Drayton Valley Community Foundation, Rotary Club of Drayton Valley, Drayton Valley Music Festival, Big Brothers - Volunteer.

 

MAE CHOW

Mae has been a resident of Drayton Valley since 1968. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1986 and her Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1989 both from the University of Alberta.

After articling with David Thomas, Mae was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta Bar in 1990.

Mae is also involved in many volunteer activities in the legal and local communities including: Board of Directors - Legal Education Society of Alberta, Instructor- Bar Admission Course,        - Community Scholarship Trust Society, Chairperson - Ducks Unlimited Drayton Valley , Rotary Club of Drayton Valley.

 

DEBORAH ALFORD

Deborah was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She attended the University of Alberta and obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1986 and her Bachelor on Laws degree in 1989.

She articled in Edmonton and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1990. From 1990 - 1993, Deborah practiced law in Edmonton. Her general practice included emphasis in administrative law, as well as criminal defense, and matrimonial and personal injury litigation.

In 1993 Deborah joined the Wetaskiwin Office of the Alberta Justice Department as a Crown Prosecutor.

In the past, she has served as a volunteer with Student Legal Services of Edmonton, the Articling subcommittee of the Law Society of Alberta and the Wetaskiwin Committee of Coordinated Services for Children.

 

 

KAREN SINCLAIR-SANTOS

Karen obtained her bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary in 1985 and her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta in 1989.

Karen articled in Edmonton and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta Bar in 1990. Karen moved to the Stony Plain area in 1990 and with the exception of a short period at home with her two small children, she has practiced law in Spruce Grove and Stony Plain since that time.

Karen has served her community as the president of RCMP Victim Services Society of Stony Plain Spruce Grove and district and a Horizon Stage Volunteer. Karen is presently serving as the President of the Stony Plain and District Chamber of Commerce.

 

GLENN MCLEAN

Glenn obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Lethbridge in 1987 and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calgary in 1990.

After graduating from Law, Glenn worked in Edmonton, for the Alberta Government, Department of Federal and Intergovernmental Affairs (US Relations).

He later articled with an Edmonton law firm and practiced for 3 years in Edmonton. Glenn has served his community in the past as a Second Lieutenant in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves and as a member of the Board of Directors of the City of Edmonton Non-Profit Housing Corporation. Glenn has served the community of Drayton Valley as a Board Member of the Community Scholarship Trust Society, Drayton Valley Community Foundation, and The Community Lottery Board.  Currently, Glenn is a Councellor for the Town of Drayton Valley.
